While the pad itself is excellent and nicely shaped, I find it's just too large and doesn't stay in place like I had hoped.Quality Price Value
At 5'8", I'm a large Bantamweight with long legs. Yet despite ordering S/M, due to how long the foot section is, the pads need to be pulled above my knee cap. They would really benefit from making a smaller size or just reducing how long the foot padding is.
My second issue with the pads is the strap used to secure them. There is only one at the very top, opposed to the two most shin pads have (normally one above the ankle). I have also had to shorten mine by stitching it against itself, to allow a secure hold.
If a second strap was added at the lower calf and a loop for us to thread them through to adjust tightness. Plus a reduction in the foot pad (I have size 11 feet and it covers my entire foot...) I'd regard them as perfect, because the protection and lightness is spot on. They also don't interfere with grappling like most "sock" style pads.
